Fixed (static)IP Internet access settings for Tenda E882 router
This article introduces the setting method of fixed (static)IP Internet access on the Tenda E882 router. Fixed (static) IP Internet access means that after the user handles broadband services, the broadband operator will provide the user with a set of IP addresses, subnet masks, gateway, and DNS server addresses, and will also provide a network cable to the user’s home; When you are not using the router, connect this network cable to your computer, and set the computer IP address based on the IP address information provided by the broadband operator, and then you can access the Internet.

Step 1: Install the Tengda E882 router
Connect the network cable provided by the broadband carrier to the WAN port (blue) of the Tengda E882 router; prepare another network cable, connect one end to the computer, and the other end to any one of 1, 2, and 3(yellow ports) on the Tengda E882 router; the specific installation is as shown in the following figure:
Questions to note:
The normal working state of the Tengda E882 router is that the indicator light SYS flashes, the WAN port is always on or flashes, and the port connected to the computer in the 1/2/3 port is always on or flashes.
Step 2: Record and set the computer IP address
Before setting the Tengda E882 router to access the Internet with fixed (static)IP, you need to first record the IP address, subnet mask, gateway, and DNS server address being used on the computer; then set the IP address of the computer to automatically obtained (dynamic IP), as shown in the following figure.
Step 3: Tengda E882 fixed (static) Internet settings

2. Click “Advanced Settings”
3. Click “Advanced Settings”-“Internet Settings”-“Internet Access Method” to select: Static IP-fill in “IP Address”,”Subnet Mask”,”Gateway”,”DNS Server”-Click “OK”.
4. Click “MAC Clone”-“Manual Clone”-“Clone MAC Address”-“OK”.
